About Me
I've always viewed design as a way to solve a problem while making something that makes the client happy. I am not married to the work, and I put a lot of effort into the technical aspects of my designs. My background in printing taught me that there is no such thing as perfection because every press, pressman, and sheet of paper is different.
I love working on complex projects. I love learning new things. It truly brings me joy. If I don't know an answer, I respond honestly—"I don't know, let me find out." I will figure out a way to get you an answer. When I encounter a problem, I can pivot to brainstorming a workaround without being bothered.
I want to be a helpful teammate who contributes to the success of the project and company. Sometimes that looks like stepping back to look for issues before they happen. Other times it means stepping in, asking questions, creating a process, or offering to drive because I have previous experience. Both paths lead to collaboration and creating a project that is as strong as it can be.
Education
2024 - 2026
M.S. in User Experience
Arizona State University
Polytechnic Campus
Graduating GPA was 3.8. I'm a more thoughtful designer in all projects because of my graduate education. I learned how to be user-centered regardless of the medium. Favorite classes: Website & E-Commerce Strategy and Wireframe & Prototype Design.
2002 - 2007
B.F.A in Graphic Design
Arkansas State University
Jonesboro, Arkansas
Founded an AIGA chapter in 2006; Co-president of the Art Directors Club in 2007. Learned ideation, brainstorming, collaboration, and presentation skills. I learned to never take feedback personally—it's the client's project, not mine.
